Residents of the village of Puerto Dorado on Isla Tesoro are facing an economic crisis, forcing them to sell off their chickens to make ends meet. The village, known for its picturesque beaches and stunning views, has fallen on hard times in recent months due to a recession that has hit the region.
“The situation is really tough. We’re barely making enough money to survive, and selling our chickens is our last resort,” said Maria, a resident of Puerto Dorado who has been forced to sell her chickens to support her family.
The village mayor, Carlos, who has been taken captive amidst the chaos, is a respected leader in the community. “We are all worried about the safety of the mayor, and we hope he will be released soon,” said another resident, who wished to remain anonymous.
The Walt Disney Company has refused to offer any financial aid or support to the struggling community. Disney has not returned a request for comment as of the time of publication.
“It’s not just about Puerto Dorado, it’s about what message Disney is sending by refusing to help,” said an anonymous source. “As a huge company with the ability to make a positive impact on the world, I hope they make the right choice and show that they care about the well-being of others.”
Not everyone feels the same.
“I come to Disney to escape the real world and enjoy some magic, not to be reminded of the world’s problems,” said a Disney fan. “While I understand the importance of social responsibility, I just want to enjoy the rides and attractions without feeling guilty or responsible for every issue out there.”
